Week 12 - Continued work on project

1. Continue work on your team project. You should have your personal contract finished by now and this will help you structure the tasks you have in regards to the team project.

2. It is a good idea to have a face to face team meeting at the start of each class to keep everybody up to date with the project schedule.

3. Any extra questions you have of the client need to be asked by this week.

4. I have added a couple more links to help you with your WHS risk assessment given last week.

Some ideas to kick around

You could have two teams working on two different artistic styles.

Team 1 – Top 10 reasons to be an accountant.

Objective to produce an animation for youtube to appeal to the widest possible global audience.  Ultimately this will be a promotional tool for your course. As mentioned I think it would be great if the students could look at something they produced on youtube and it reached 000’s of hits.  As I think Alex mentioned by being smart with the title and combining other popular search terms it could further add to the appeal.  If there are any copyright aspects of your course this teams work with the highest audience has the highest risk, so this would give an opportunity to explore those issues.

Team 2 – Top 10 reasons to study accounting at Wagga TAFE.

Objective to produce a promotional tool for our accounting courses.

Through this team you can assign a variety of tasks from logo and flyer/handout design to the actual top 10 animation.

My thoughts on the Team 2 top 10 are:

10. Great teachers

9. Industry relevant courses and content

8. Focus on practical skills, we learn and do not just learn

7. Short course options.  Gain Cert IV Accounting in just 6 months

6. Tax Office Recognised qualifications meeting registration requirements

5. Full time students can juggle other commitments with day time classes running 9am to 3:30pm

4. Part time study options available for people already working by attending evening classes

3. Small class sizes to maximise your learning potential

2. Recognised qualifications.  Use your TAFE learning for credits at University saving you $$

1. Fantastic job opportunities

Happy to discuss further if needed.
